Tournaments
Welcome to Cards4.net tournaments — weekly competitive events where registered players compete in structured single-elimination brackets across Hearts, Spades, and Euchre. Tournaments are free to enter, open to any signed-in member, and run on a fixed weekly schedule so that regulars always know when the next bracket fires.
How tournaments work
Every tournament has three lifecycle states: open while registration is accepting entries, in progress while bracket matches are playing out, and completed once the final has been called. Registration closes a few minutes before the first match starts, at which point seats are locked and the bracket is published. If a tournament does not fill, smaller brackets seat byes for unfilled slots.
Hearts format — 4-player free-for-all
Hearts tournaments run a 16-player bracket over two rounds. Each bracket node seats four players around a single Hearts table, and the single highest-finishing player at each table advances. Because Hearts is a trick-avoidance game, the lowest score at the table is the table's winner, with shoot-the-moon scoring counted as usual.
Spades and Euchre format — 2v2 partnerships
Spades and Euchre tournaments run a 16-team bracket over three rounds. Each node seats two pre-paired partnerships around a single table, and the winning partnership advances. Players register as a pair and the same partnership stays together for the whole bracket. The standard in-game match score decides each node.
Weekly schedule and registration
Registration windows open several hours before start time, and the bracket fires precisely at the published start. You receive an in-app banner notification shortly before each match you are seated in, with a link straight to the bracket page. You must be signed in with a member account to register; guest accounts are not eligible because results affect your ranked rating and tournament history.
Ratings and history
Tournament matches are played on ranked tables, so every game in a tournament round affects your standard ranked rating for that game. Tournament wins also accumulate on your profile's tournament history, and championship counts are surfaced on the leaderboard view so frequent winners are visible.
